ROLLERSKATING PARTY WITH BETTY WHO??

Last Thursday was awesome!! What better way to spend my Thursday night than watching my fiancé roller-skate his butt off, see an incredible, exclusive performance by Australian Pop Queen BETTY WHO, unlimited fresh pizza from Jon & Vinny’s and last but not least drinks on the house by Henry’s Hard Sparkling Water!  I am super grateful for Entrepreneur/Influencer Gwen Lane aka  @thelagirl & her company Sparks Society for inviting me!

This event was sponsored by Henry’s Hard Sparkling, a low calorie, no sugar, sparkling water with a hint of alcohol. I am not a big drinker or a sparkling water fan but this drink (I tried three different flavors) were actually pretty good. It tasted like flavored water with some bubblies. A perfect drink if you’re trying to stay healthy and not have all that sugar from other drinks like wine.

The event was held at Moonlight Roller Rink in Glendale, California.

Fun little facts about Moonlight:

  1. The Most Filmed Roller Rink In The World!
  2. Where the Motion Picture & TV Stars Skate.
  3. Skating rink since 1950
  4. Original Maple Wood Floor (If you are chewing gum they have places for you to spit it out).

There’s something about a Roller rink that makes you feel you’ve been transported back to the 1970s. Moonlight does a good job at keeping it vintage with their artifacts and décor.

The night started with complimentary freshly made pizza from Jon and Vinny’s. Through out the night they were making new, mouth-watering pizzas. I skated for a bit before meeting up with Gwen and some other friends from the Instagram community.

We then had a meet & greet with Betty Who! I didn’t know too much about her but now I have become a fan. Betty was super sweet, down-to-earth, and really tall. She is totally gorgeous and an incredible performer.

If you haven’t heard about Betty click the video below. I love her Pop/Soulful sound and she is just as good live as she is on the radio.

After the performance, Josh & I well mostly Josh skated some more and ate some more. I hung out with some girls I met through Instagram and Influencer Academy. It was amazing that I felt so connected and comfortable with girls I never met in person before. That night made me appreciate Instagram because I made some, honest and real friends.

Shout out to my Insta Friends!

Who knew from Instagram I’d find friends who actually know me &  know my life. I seriously had such a fun time and if you didn’t already know I get social anxiety especially meeting new people but like I said earlier these girls & guys that I hung out with I really did feel like we were old friends. I am grateful that Instagram created such an awesome, loving community.

With the weekend coming up, maybe get a group of friends together and go roller skating at Moonlight! And if you haven’t downloaded music from Betty Who, I highly suggest that you do!

Would love to hear your thoughts on Betty and if you’re a fan of roller skating!

Have a wonderful Thursday!
