FIVE new artists you all need to check out, thanks to SPOTIFY. I recently just changed from Apple Music to Spotify because I just love the variety of new upcoming artists they feature and how it gives me suggestions on artists without me having to click anything, it just plays.

The first band that I heard from the five was Jet Black Alley Cat. A retro/rock/pop band from Nashville, Tennessee. Their song “She’s Alright” is what got me hooked. And then when I looked them up and saw that they were bringing back the 70’s (Freddie Mercury) fashion, I was like, “Yesssss”. I heard they were going to be playing a show at THE TROUBADOUR  here in Los Angeles and I bought tickets right away.

Here are some photos I took from Kroq’s Locals Only event..

The next two bands, their songs randomly popped up on Spotify and I fell in love; JOAN and THE IVY.

Both bands are bringing that 80s, synth – pop sound. Their catchy melodies and relatable lyrics are definitely grabbing listeners attention. Go check them out because I guarantee you in a few seconds you will be grooving to their music, literally.

Follow them on their social media platforms below:

The next two artists I heard opening up before Jet Black Alley Cat from KROQ’S Locals Only Concert; Michael Barr & Hush.

Hush has a little bit of rock, a little bit of soul, a little bit of R&B and pop. You just gotta hear their sound, it’s awesome.

Michael Barr brought it with his R&B soul/pop music. He really knew how to entertain the crowd and is a very talented vocalist.

If there’s one thing I love as much as junk food it’s MUSIC. I have this connection to it that I NEED in my life to keep me going.

Put these artists on your summer music playlist! Enjoy!

  1. Jet Black Alley Cat
  2. Joan
  3. The Ivy
  4. Michael Barr
  5. Hush

Let me know your favorite artist/song in the comments!

Until next time!
