That’s a Wrap on RIPPLE IN A POND OF BLOOD 🎬

Independent Filmmaking | Behind the Scenes | Horror Film

After 11 intense days of shooting in the desert, that’s a wrap on my third feature film with director Robbie Smith! I’m beyond excited to share more soon, but for now, here’s a little peek into what we’ve been creating together.

About the Film

RIPPLE IN A POND OF BLOOD is a slow-burn slasher set in a small desert town on Halloween night. It follows a woman whose desperate attempt to resurrect her deceased dog through occult rituals goes horribly wrong, tearing a hole in reality and unleashing a surreal descent into violence and madness.

This project combines narrative minimalism, found footage, and atmospheric dread, crafted by a small, passionate team experimenting with new ways to tell stories. It’s a true micro-budget horror film born from collaboration, improvisation, and the spirit of discovery.

The Process

We filmed over 11 long but beautiful days, powered by caffeine, creativity, and heart. The crew was small but mighty. Every person wore multiple hats and gave their all. It’s the kind of filmmaking that reminds me why I love this art form.

Independent, punk-rock filmmaking isn’t glamorous it’s unpredictable, exhausting, and full of late-night delirium but it’s also pure magic. There’s nothing like creating something with friends, building worlds from nothing, and watching it all come to life under the glow of a midnight desert sky.

Gratitude

To everyone who poured their heart into this project: thank you. You made something raw, real, and deeply human.

Stay tuned for updates as RIPPLE IN A POND OF BLOOD moves into post-production. I can’t wait to share what we’ve made.
